GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
valid from 1 January 2025
General Terms and Conditions (GTC) for events organized by ACENTUM and ACENTUM HR academy / ACENTUM GmbH, CH-8127 Forch / Zurich - hereinafter referred to as “ACENTUM” or “ACENTUM HR academy”.
§ 1 REGISTRATION & SCOPE OF APPLICATION
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all fee-based and free events organized by ACENTUM and the ACENTUM HR academy. Since ACENTUM and ACENTUM HR academy events are forums for the in-house HR professionals, leaders and executives addressed, we kindly ask you to understand that registrations from consultants from consulting and service companies cannot be considered for these events and that participation in these events is excluded and therefore not possible.
Registrations must be made in writing by letter or e-mail by the participants themselves or the registering company. The receipt of the registration will be confirmed by e-mail after receipt and verification and the corresponding invoice will also be sent.
Participation is only valid for the registered person. Participation is not possible without prior receipt of a registration confirmation.
The ACENTUM HR academy reserves the right to reject any registrations. Upon request, all participants will receive a certificate of participation from the ACENTUM HR academy by e-mail.
§ 2 EVENT PRICES & INVOICES
The ACENTUM HR academy generally offers a reduced early bird price for each event, which is always valid until the specified date. However, these offers and other offers are always subject to availability. There is no entitlement.
Unless otherwise stated, invoices will be issued on the basis of the data provided in the registration form.
Invoices are payable within 20 days of receipt, without any deductions. Discounts are not offered; unjustifiably deducted discounts will be reclaimed and an additional fee charged.
The event price quoted for face-to-face events includes participant documentation, refreshments during breaks and lunch.
§ 3 CANCELLATION AND REBOOKING CONDITIONS
Cancellations received by the ACENTUM HR academy in writing by e-mail (HR-academy@acentum.com) up to 3 months before the start of the event are free of charge; thereafter, a free cancellation is no longer possible, but will be subject to full costs. The same applies to non-attendance at the event.
Up to 2 months before the event date, it is possible to rebook free of charge to another ACENTUM HR academy event in the same or the following year. In this case, the price of the booked event will be charged as a credit. A refund of any difference if it has not been used in the valid period is not possible
If participation in the booked event is not possible, it is also possible to have a person from the same company or affiliated group of companies participate as a replacement free of charge up to 1 month before the start of the event. In the event of a change thereafter, this is possible up to 3 days before the start of the event for a fee of 100 EUR / CHF. Changes must be reported to the ACENTUM HR academy in writing by e-mail (HR-academy@acentum.com) and confirmed by the academy.
Only working days count when counting the number of days with regard to deadlines. If the end of a previously specified deadline falls on a Saturday, Sunday or a national public holiday (valid in the country of the applicant), the previous working day shall count instead.
The event day(s) are not included in the calculation
§ 4 PROGRAM CHANGES / POSTPONEMENTS OR CANCELLATIONS
The ACENTUM HR academy expressly reserves the right to make changes to the selection of speakers and topics, even at short notice. Participants will be informed of such changes by e-mail. Possible claims by participants due to such changes are expressly excluded.
In very rare cases, it may be necessary to postpone or cancel an event offered, e.g. for unforeseeable reasons such as "force majeure" or due to an insufficient number of participants. In the event that an event is canceled, the participant will receive a full refund of any payment already made or, by agreement, a credit note for subsequent events. Further claims by the participant or the company due to changes, postponements or cancellations are expressly excluded
§ 5 PHOTO, SOUND AND FILM RIGHTS
Photographs, sound recordings and films may be made during our events. Participants expressly consent to these recordings and any possible publication for marketing purposes.
Should a participant wish to revoke this consent vis-à-vis the ACENTUM HR academy, this is possible at any time in writing by e-mail (HR-academy@acentum.com)
§ 6 LIABILITY
The events are prepared by the ACENTUM HR academy and the presentations by the speakers carefully and to the best of their knowledge and belief. However, no liability is assumed for the content of the events.
§ 7 DATA PROTECTION
Personal data (name, address, employer, function, e-mail address) are collected, processed and used by the ACENTUM HR academy exclusively in accordance with the provisions of Swiss data protection law within the framework of the contractual relationship.
The materials and documents issued in connection with the events are protected by copyright and may not be passed on or reproduced, even in part, without the express written consent of ACENTUM HR academy.
§ 8 FINAL PROVISIONS
These revised General Terms and Conditions for events of the ACENTUM HR academy come into force on March 1, 2025 and replace all previous GTC.
Severability clause:
Should individual provisions of these General Terms and Conditions be or become invalid or unenforceable, the validity of these General Terms and Conditions and all other provisions and agreements shall remain unaffected. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be replaced by a valid and enforceable provision whose effects come closest to the economic objective pursued or intended by the contracting parties with the invalid or unenforceable provision. The above provisions shall also apply accordingly in the event that the contract should prove to be incomplete.
In the event of discrepancies between the different language versions of the GTC, the German version and all individual provisions of the German version of the GTC shall always take precedence over the English version.
The legal place of jurisdiction is Zurich (Switzerland).
